Meghan Trainor To Perform At The 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs
The iHeartRadio MMVAs is quickly approaching and joining this year’s cohort of star-studded performers is singer-songwriter, Meghan Trainor.
Best known for her singles, “All About The Bass,” “Like I’m Gonna Lose You,” and “No,” Trainor rose to celebrity status when she released her debut album, Title in 2015, with her second album, Thank You, following shortly after. Influenced by the ‘50s and ‘60s music scene, Trainor uses her craft to empower women and promote positive body image.
Last month, the Grammy award-winning artist took to Instagram to announce her new album, Treat Myself, which is set to release on August 31. Along with the news, Trainor also revealed a snippet from a song off of the album, called “All The Ways.”
Along with “All The Ways,” Treat Myself’s tracklist is also set to include “No Excuses,” and “Let You Be Right.” Trainor describes her upcoming album as “really special,” revealing that it includes vocals from her entire family on every song and even includes her father playing the piano and organs.
“It’s obviously me being in love and happy, and reminding myself to choose happiness and love myself,” she explained.
In addition to Meghan Trainor, today’s announcement also includes performers Kris Wu, and 5 Seconds Of Summer, joining previously announced performers Alessia Cara, Halsey, and Marshmello featuring Anne-Marie. Presenters announced today include Derek Hough, Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, Sonequa Martin-Green, Tyra Banks, and Prince Michael Jackson.
The 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs go down Sunday, August 26 at 9ET/7MT on CTV and Much.
