6 Times Kris Wu Kicked It With Your Favourite Celebs

Ever since his release of “Deserve” with Travis Scott, Chinese actor, singer-songwriter, producer, and model Kris Wu (吴亦凡) has been making waves and taking names. If you haven’t already heard of the quadruple threat, you definitely know the star-studded friends who he rolls with.

The 27-year-old has many accomplishments on his roster, including the title of being the first Chinese artist to have a No. 1 single on the U.S. iTunes chart. He’s definitely on his way to taking over the world and becoming a household name, and the many high-rollers that Wu has been snapped with can probably vouch for that too.

Pharrell

Back in October, Wu uploaded a picture of himself and Pharrell in the studio together. The two were working on a song that they performed last November at the 11.11 Countdown Gala Celebration in Shanghai. In an interview, he talks about Pharrell’s amazing energy, and how they first met.

“It’s a blessing working with him; he’s got aura around him I swear its crazy. I just became the Beats ambassador and he’s a part of the Beats family as well. We’re all kind of in the family and we all got linked up.

Kendall Jenner

Kris Wu and Kendall Jenner are looking red-hot and sultry on the July 2015 cover of Vogue China. The model was quick to share lot’s of kind words about Wu.

“He’s very nice and very cool. He sure knows how to dance and he was just really fun on set! It was really awesome to be able to meet him, I heard so much about him and it was really cool.” says Jenner.

Justin Bieber

Is this the start of a budding-bromance? Wu was spotted courtside with Justin Bieber during the 2018 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. Both Wu and Bieber played alongside Migos’ Quavo, point guard Nate Robinson, and actor Jerry Ferrara. Bieber added only four points to the score, while Wu racked up six points. Participating in the game was extremely monumental for him, as he talks about just how big of a basketball fan he actually is.

“Being able to participate in the All-Star game made me feel like I was living a dream. When I was 15, I dreamed that one day I could stand on the stage of the NBA, but physical reasons stopped me from becoming a professional basketball player.”

Travis Scott

This past October, Kris Wu dropped the sensual single “Deserve” with rapper Travis Scott. The track features harmonizing vocals and a mellow beat, and was Wu’s first English-language single of 2017. In an interview with Beats 1, Wu proclaimed that Scott flew out from New York to Los Angeles to record the track, which is important for him while collaborating.

“I think it’s so important that you want to be in the room with these people making music together because that’s what it’s all about. Especially hip-hop music, because you have to be vibing.” He states.

Keeping in mind that the two artists have a very similar style of making music, they couldn’t be a better pair.

“Immediately I think we would be a perfect fit because I’ve been a fan of his music and I like where he’s at,” says Wu. “That melodic type of rapping, that’s what he’s been on and that’s the type of stuff that I really love doing too so this track was the perfect fit for both of us.”
