Kris Wu: The Underrated Chinese-Canadian Fashion Icon
Not only is Kris Wu (吴亦凡) a talented musician and up-and-coming actor––he’s an underrated fashion icon as well.
In a recent interview with San Francisco Bay Area radio station, WiLD 949, iHeartRadio MMVAs performer Kris Wu discussed the possibility of an upcoming fashion line, a venture he says is coming very soon.
The only appropriate response to this news is excitement, because though Wu isn’t as well known in North America as his male fashion counterparts, doesn’t mean he isn’t in their league. Check out some of our favourite Kris Wu looks.
Diamonds can be a guy’s best friend, too.
Okay, so his sequin blazer isn’t exactly made of diamonds, but you get the point––when the right light hits his outfit, Wu is glistening as sharply as a diamond in the sun. This slim-fit, statement piece paired with a plain black tee and dischevilled hair gives us total rocker vibes.
Newspapers aren’t just for reading
Stop the presses! Wu has arrived with a message from us all: you can turn almost anything ordinary into some sort of fashion statement. All you need is the right vision. In Wu’s case, we suspect his inspiration came from a bit of light reading the night before.
Witchcraft and Wizardry, Wu Edition.
We are certainly here for this updated version of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry uniform. We guess it’s safe to say that Wu identifies as a Gryffindor.
Attention to the male population: matching sets aren’t just for females! Just as Kris Wu, in his signature Burberry print matching button down and shorts set. Also, is it just us, or does this photo of Wu slightly remind you of a ‘90s Justin Timberlake?
Not one to stray away from colour, Wu always finds a way to mix and match bright shades with different prints. We love this particular look for its floral embroidery on blue suede combo. We wonder what ensemble he’ll surprise us with on the iHeartRadio MMVAs red carpet?
Catch Kris Wu on stage at the 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs along with other performers Shawn Mendes, Marshmello featuring Anne-Marie, Alessia Cara, Halsey, and 5 Seconds Of Summer.
