David Guetta And Anne-Marie Share New Song ‘Don’t Leave Me Alone’
Have you ever loved someone so much that you felt you might literally die if they left? Anne-Marie has and she lays down the law for her lover on her and David Guetta’s new dance-pop track “Don’t Leave Me Alone.”
The enthusiastic new single is an electro-kissed, emo-punk banger capturing the feeling of young love and possible heartbreak. Listen to the new song below.
“Don’t Leave Me Alone” is filled with building synths and snappy percussion beats that mix into a catchy love struck hook of piano keys and handclaps. The track’s lyrics are teenage love on full display with Anne-Marie’s mellow vocals sing the bittersweet melody, “Even when you’re angry / Even when I’m cold / Don’t you ever leave me / Don’t leave me alone.”
The new track is a first-time collaboration for the Grammy Award-winning producer and the breakout U.K. star. For Guetta, “Don’t Leave Me Alone” follows a string of successful dance singles like the soulful Sia-featuring “Flames” and “Like I Do” with Martin Garrix and Brooks. The French DJ is reportedly finishing his seventh studio album, which is expected to arrive later this year.
As for Anne-Marie, the 27-year-old singer-songwriter released her debut album Speak Your Mind this past April. She’s currently supporting long time friend Ed Sheeran as the opening act on his Divide stadium tour but will be launch a headlining tour of her own on August 20 in Hollywood, California. Most recently, Anne-Marie shared an acoustic version of her hit song “2002” featuring Sheeran who co-wrote the infectious track.
