Anne-Marie And David Guetta Find Virtual Reality Love In ‘Don’t Leave Me Alone’

If you’re wondering what the next trend in dating will be, look to Anne-Marie and David Guetta’s latest collaboration. The pair just dropped the video for their dark EDM heartbreaker of a dance song “Don’t Leave Me Alone” and are giving us a glimpse into our future love life. Tinder is so 2000 and late.

Reminiscent of Steven Spielberg’s 2018 blockbuster Ready Player One, the video opens with Anne-Marie living alone in a dilapidated apartment. Filmed with a yellow, dusty hue to match Anne-Marie’s lovesick mood, the singer dreams of her former love, wishing to see him again. Her wish is granted when she spots a virtual reality mask, which transports her to a dance club, a snowy mountain peak and a beach, all while walking hand in hand with her slightly computer modified boyfriend.

Wearing her trademark bicycle shorts and making the future look very inviting, Anne-Marie captivates the camera throughout the video, which was directed by famed music video director Hannah Lux Davis, who also shot Anne-Marie’s videos for “2002” and “Friends” with Marshmello.

Anne-Marie is set to make her debut at the 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs on Sunday, where she’ll be performing her huge hit “Friends” with Marshmello. The pair are nominated for Song of the Summer and Best Collaboration.

Watch Marshmello and Anne-Marie perform at the 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs alongside Shawn Mendes, Alessia Cara, Bebe Rexha, 98 Degrees, bülow, The Beaches, Brett Kissel, Meghan Trainor, Halsey, 5 Seconds Of Summer, Kris Wu(吴亦凡), Tyler Shaw and Elijah Woods x Jamie Fine.

The 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs hosted by Awkwafina go down Sunday, August 26 at 9/7MT on CTV and Much. But all the fun starts with Pre-Game show, which streams live at 7:30/5:30MT right here before the Red Carpet at 8/6MT.
