Here’s Everything You Need To Know About Bea Miller

Since Bea Miller was discovered on season two of X-Factor, she’s been a busy girl. The 18-year-old singer-songwriter has released EPs, a debut album, headlined tours and now, she’ll be presenting at the iHeartRadio MMVAs on June 18. If you’ve been sleeping on Bea Miller, here’s everything you need to know about Hollywood’s newest hit-maker.

Toy Story 3

Prior to X-Factor, the New Jersey teen worked as a voice actor and played Molly in Toy Story 3. The artist realized her passion for singing during this time and decided, if she wanted to connect with people, she’d have to stop hiding behind someone else’s story.

“I was communicating a character’s thoughts that some person had written but I wanted to connect with [people] from my own heart, my own thoughts and be able to talk to people about how I feel and not how a character feels,” Miller said in an interview with PopCrush.

In 2012, Miller got out of the acting arena, stepped into the singing game and landed herself on the X-Factor. She came in ninth on season two of the popular vocal talent show as one of the youngest singers and quickly became a fan favourite.

Young Blood EP

In 2014, Miller released her first four-track EP that featured her popular single, “Fire N Gold.”

Debut Album, Not An Apology

The next year, she followed up with a full-length album, Not An Apology, which debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 200.

Miller has some serious hustle, as she’s toured constantly over the past three years. In 2014, she toured with Demi Lovato—a judge on her season of X Factor—on her world tour. Then she travelled with fellow X Factor contestants Fifth Harmony on The Reflection Tour in 2015. Last year, she opened on Selena Gomez’s Revival Tour.

Dirty Dancing Television Remake

Miller sings the iconic song “Be My Baby” in ABC’s television remake of the classic film.

EP Trilogy

Miller decided to release her newest EP in three parts. She released the first, Chapter One: Blue, on February 24 and had her first talk show appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden where she performed her hit single “Song Like You.”

Chapter Two: Red, came out on June 2. The track “Buy Me Diamonds” is already making waves. She performed the hit song at this year’s MTV Movie & TV Awards.

You can expect Chapter Three: Yellow this August and you can see Miller on June 18 presenting at the iHeartRadio MMVAs 9E/6P.
