Every year, one of the most anticipated parts of the MMVAs is the red carpet event before the big show. Yes, we’re excited to see the celebs IRL and what they’re wearing, but more importantly, we want to see how they arrive.
The MMVAs have set the precedent for some of the wildest red carpet arrivals at any award show. From military tanks to dunk tanks, you never know what to expect at Queen & John.
So, in anticipation for Sunday’s MMVAs, let’s take a look back at some of the most epic red carpet arrivals ever!

2004: Billy Talent holds the title for most epic entrance ever, rolling in on their ginormous tank.
2004: That same year, Alexisonfire showed up in an ambulance, mimicking their Accidents music video.
2004: They also dressed the part.
2005: Sum 41 didn’t need a set of hot wheels, instead they were environmentally-friendly in their rickshaws.
2005: Eric Prydz brought a taste of the UK with them to the MMVAs red carpet.
2006: Hedley are always trouble so it was fitting that they showed up in handcuffs.

2007: Hedley again. Pretty self-explanatory, right?
2008: The rain didn’t stop Hedley from rolling in on their bikes.
2008: Kardinal Offishall repped Toronto by showing up on the red carpet on a TTC bus.
2009: Marianas Trench literally paraded onto the red carpet in this makeshift parade float.
2009: Lights’ date was out of this world.
2010: Katy Perry showed off her sweet side by showing up in an ice cream truck.
2010: Marianas Trench kept things hot in a hottub.
2011: Marianas Trench literally rolled onto the red carpet.
2012: Katy Perry showed up with a bunch of mini-Katys and everyone went ‘AWWW!’
2012: Marianas Trench galloped onto the red carpet in this hilarious get-up.
2013: And, of course, last year Marianas Trench outdid themselves again by showing up in a dunk tank.
