Even though they were co-hosting AND had TWO performances, I know you didn’t see enough of the Jonas Brothers. I didn’t, and I was here. So like a neighbor that lends you a cuppa sugar when you really need one, we’re gonna show you all our amazing faux-toes of the Jo Bros from tonight’s show-show. And then we’re gonna stop rhyming. So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish: MMVA Highlights Wrap-Up!

Phew! I think I need a bottle of water. Or maybe a shower, to wash all that residual awesomeness (or sweat) from tonight’s hella insane MMVAs 2009 show off of meh. Else people are gonna stare tomorrow. Here’s the run-down of how this happened, aka my favourite moments from tonight:
Of course it was the Jonas Brothers, our lovely co-hosts, who kicked things off. Obviously, the JoBros first performance, “Burning Up”, burned the audience right up; they were yelling and screaming like seasoned pros. Like really cool gym teachers. You know, the young hot ones. And hey, did you see when their bodyguard (or someone) came onstage to sing a verse with them? Our whole office was like, Huh?

Keys to the VIP. No, for real.

Like you’ve always suspected - I know at least Charlie has - all the REALLY wild stuff goes on back stage. This year, we were watching backstage footage of the VIP room from our comfy office chairs. This stuff was legitimately cracked up!
Matt Wells and Matte Babel were down there lounging on some sick looking white leather couches, talking to all the celebs that passed through. Tila Tequila was there (and possibly flashed the camera? I was away from the computer), and Drake stopped in to chill for a bit. He looked so cool!
Rise Against and Jay from Bedouin Soundclash got to hang around in the VIP lounge with Matt Wells, where he gave them a very special award: a cookbook. They seemed to be a little peeved that it was a cookbook for non-vegetarians, which the band are, but they accepted it gracefully none the less. Or maybe they were kidding; it was hard to tell over all the screaming. Matt also chatted up Girlicious while Matte (that’s gonna be confusing) talked to Kim Kardashian about her drinking habits.
Even after the show stopped, Matt was still there, like a boss, having a post-show drink with Billy Talent, and later on a chat with the Black Eyed Peas, or at least Will.i.am. I know, I know, you wish you were there. Me too, to be honest. It looked pretty swanky. Oh wells, maybe next year, when I’m famous.

Like a ninja with a camera made of dreams, we’ve got photos from the first part of the Red Carpet Extrava-va-va-vaganza!
