Watch Niall Horan Perform New Song ‘On The Loose’
We may not have an official title or release date for Niall Horan’s upcoming debut album, but thankfully we have yet another song to keep us dancing and swooning. So much swooning when it comes to Niall.
The former One Direction member hit the stage solo this past weekend at California’s Wango Tango concert event, which featured performances from Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Maroon 5, and fellow iHeartRadio MMVA performer Julia Michaels.
During his performance, Niall delighted the screaming crowd with his beautiful lead single “This Town,” before switching things up for his new sexy single “Slow Hands.” Thankfully, the performance didn’t stop there. Horan also debuted a new track, once again changing up his sound and getting us even more excited for his upcoming performance at the iHeartRadio MMVAs.
With its retro sound, “On The Loose” has Niall showing off a different side to his music and personality, singing about a woman whose intentions are selfish, but her charm is irresistible. Giving off some Fleetwood Mac “Dreams” vibes, “On The Loose” lets fans into a darker and more mysterious side of Horan’s music, with the pop singer confidently ruling the stage for his high energy set.
Singing “I know what she’s like / She’s out of her mind / And wraps herself around the truth / She’ll jump on that flight and meet you that night / And make you tear up the room,” Niall once again reminds us that he’s all grown up.
Horan’s performance took place in front of thousands of screaming fans excited to hear new music from the now-solo singer, but Niall also had one very big fan backstage as well.
Fellow One Direction member Liam Payne attended Wango Tango to watch Niall perform “On The Loose” for the first time, even christening Horan with his ‘Payne Chain.’ It’s a really big chain.
If you squint at the picture, it *almost* looks like One Direction are back together.
