Check Out These Remixes Of Julia Michaels And Iggy Azalea’s Hits
It’s Friday and that means new music from this year’s iHeartRadio Much Music Video Award performers! Today’s new releases include remixes of songs we already love from first-time performers Julia Michaels and Iggy Azalea. We have no issues with hearing “mo bounce.”
First up is the Alan Walker remix of Julia Michaels’ breakthrough single “Issues.” In the new remix, Walker takes the best parts of the emotionally raw track and turns them into a dance hit. Breathing a second life into the stunning debut, Walker’s remix takes the pain and vulnerability of Michael’s “Issues” and makes it a dance hit.
Michaels released her track “Issues” in January and has been on the top of every music chart since. The songwriter turned singer performed “Issues” this week at the Radio Disney Awards, stealing the show with her incredible vocal performance and beautiful backing by a group of contemporary dancers. We also noted that Michaels is a barefoot performer. We wonder if her iHeartRadio MMVA performance will also be shoe-free?
Today’s second not-to-be missed remix comes from Iggy Azalea and her killer 2017 track “Mo Bounce.” The second single from Iggy’s upcoming sophomore studio album Digital Distortion, “Mo Bounce” is the no-holds-barred ode to booties that has Iggy bringing twerking back to the clubs and the charts.
In the remix, “Mo Bounce” gets an EDM make-over care of DJ’s Dirt Caps, the duo from Holland made up of Max Oude Weernink and Danny Groenenboom. The new version adds even more bounce to the track, with Dirt Caps upping the baseline and speeding up the tempo to give the track a whole new vibe.
We’re definitely feeling the Dirt Caps remix of “Mo Bounce,” but when it comes to our favourite remix, Ellen DeGeneres and her video do-over is the winner.
