Listen to Imagine Dragons’ new Transformers song Battle Cry

Imagine Dragons Transformers MMVA performers Imagine Dragons are transferring their musical abilities to the big screen this summer. Director Michael Bay enlisted the four-piece rock band to create a new song, Battle Cry, for his upcoming fourth Transformers film, due out in theatres on June 27. Bay told Digital Spy, “I remember being drawn to the emotions of Demons and Radioactive the first time I heard those songs, and I wanted the same energy and heart for this movie.” Bay goes on to say that Imagine Dragons have “created a really epic, otherworldly sound for Battle Cry“. Not only did Imagine Dragons write Battle Cry specifically for the film, which you can hear in the sneak peek below, but they also worked with the film’s composer Steve Jablonsky, as well as famed film composer Hans Zimmer, to create the musical cues for Transformers: Age of Extinction. Don’t miss Imagine Dragons alongside Lorde when they perform at the 2014 MMVAs on Sunday, June 15 at 9E/6P.
