Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s surprising MMVA connections
Kendall and Kylie Jenner will be making their MMVA debut on Sunday, June 15 as co-hosts to the world’s biggest block party, but that doesn’t mean they’re new to the famous show. We took a look at past MMVAs to see how familiar the girls are with the MMVAs.
Five-time MMVA performer Avril Lavigne got to know the Jenner girls while spending a few years dating their older brother Brody. Lavigne even booked a very young Kylie Jenner to rock the runway in her 2011 fashion show for her clothing line, Abbey Dawn.
Speaking of big brother Brody, the former star of The Princes of Malibu hit the MMVA red carpet back in 2009 with his Canadian ex-girlfriend and Playboy model Jayde Nicole. This guy really likes girls from the North, eh? We knew we loved Brody.
Before she was almost (two days now?) Mrs. Kim Kardashian-West, Kendall and Kylie’s big sis Kim was presenting at the 2009 MMVAs with former boyfriend and NFL star Reggie Bush. I wonder if siblings Kim and Brody shared a limo to the show that night?
It’s only a few hours now until the girls gain a new brother-in-law with Kanye West, who lists the MMVAs as one of the first large-scale award shows he ever performed at back in 2004. Kanye made Jesus Walk that night and we’ve been loving his music ever since.
The former star of The Hills has a few connections to the Jenner sisters. In addition to presenting at the 2008 and 2010 MMVAs, Cavallari also famously dated Brody Jenner during their time together on The Hills. She now stars as one of the hosts of E!’s The Fabulist, the same station that is home to the Kardashian reality series empire.
The Jonas Brothers
Kendall Jenner made her non-reality TV debut on Hawaii Five-O in 2012, the same series that now stars former MMVA co-host Nick Jonas.
The 2012 MMVA co-host has become fast friends with the Jenner sisters, with all three girls filling up their Instagram feeds with pictures of one another while hanging out this year at Coachella.
