MMVA09 MuchMusic Video Awards

Today has been absolutely INSAAANE! I can hardly even handle it all! Ok, where should I even start!? Hm, ok, from the beginning…

I arrived at MuchMusic early and met with Chris and KJ who were my camera men for the morning. We went into make-up and Roz the amazing make-up artist (who has even done make-up for Lights!) put some make-up on me and away we went to do some filming with Tim Deegan (and played a little Rock Band)!
Tim and I filmed some short little commercial tidbit things (called VJ throws) that will be airing on Much Music! It was really fun but very WET! It was raining an awful lot today so I wore a BEAUTIFUL plastic blue poncho. It really added to my outfit.

After I filmed with Tim, I went over to the main stage which is on Queen St. and watched Lady Gaga do her soundcheck! IT WAS AMAZING! I was literally 10 feet away from her! She is such a performer!
Afterwards, Black Eyed Peas took the stage and their performance was really awesome! They all seem like chill guys… and chill Fergie’s. Just as BEPs were finishing up we heard Rise Against soundchecking on another stage so we RUSHED over to see them do their soundcheck!
OH MY GOODNESS! Every single performance is absolutely brilliant! I was blown away by each one, especially Kelly Clarkson’s! That girl’s got PIPES!

While my mind was being blown by these performers, I was streaming it live from my Nokia 5800 phone for all the fans watching it at home! The technology is just so crazy and the phone itself it awesome! I love it!
As well as seeing all the soundchecks up close and personal, I also got a tour of the place where all the MMVA magic takes place! A LOT of work goes into making sure the show runs smoothly and a LOT of wires and TV screens and a LOT of workers!

Today has been so incredibly unbelievable! Seeing all the soundchecks, being so close to all the performers, getting my make-up done, working with the camera guys, filming the VJ throws, and just being able to go backstage and stream for everyone has just been SO much fun!

I’ve said it before and I don’t think I can even say this enough – THANK YOU MUCHMUSIC! THANK YOU NOKIA! This weekend has been so awesome and I am just flabbergasted by every experience I’ve had here!
