Iggy Azalea Announces New Single ‘Switch’

Iggy Azalea’s highly anticipated follow-up to her 2014 debut The New Classic is almost here and that means more new music from the Aussie rapper. Just announced today, Iggy will drop her third single “Switch” from the untitled disc on May 19th.

The upcoming track will follow the 2016 single “Team” and her more recent track “Mo Bounce,” with both songs acting as the lead singles on Azalea’s upcoming record Digital Distortion. Recording the album in 2016, and then scrapping it and starting over, Azalea put herself in the producer’s seat for the upcoming release, which is expected to drop in full this summer.

The new single “Switch” will feature Brazilian singer Anitta, a three-time MTV EMA winner hailed as the next Shakira. It will be interesting to see whether the singer performs on “Switch” in her native Portuguese or in English.

Anitta dropped her third album Bang in 2015 and judging by the album’s lead video, she’ll have no trouble keeping with up Iggy’s commitment to mo’ bounce.

In addition to announcing the upcoming duet for “Switch,” Iggy also announced a new remix for her track “Mo Bounce.” The Dirt Caps remix of Iggy’s latest single is set to drop this Friday and judging by the preview Iggy posted on social media, this version will have even mo bounce than the original. There can never be too much bounce.

Time to make your neighborhood bounce to this new #MoBounce @dirtcaps remix! Out this Friday!
