How out of this world is Ariana Grande’s Break Free lyric video?
In a galaxy, well, right here, Ariana Grande has released her Star Wars-themed lyric video for Break Free. The high-energy Zedd collaboration will be getting the galactic treatment according to Ariana and her Instagram teaser pics, and the lyric video appears to be keeping in with the space-travel theme.
Grande is of course not the first pop songstress to look to the planets for a music video inspiration. Here are our top five out of this world music videos by female pop stars.
1. Oops…I Did It Again, Britney Spears
Oops…I Did It Again was released at the pinnacle of Britney-hysteria, and the pop princess made everyone hope that life on other planets looked like the teen in red pleather.
2. Drive My Soul, Lights
Long distance is tough. Long distance when your bf is an astronaut? The toughest.
3. E.T., Katy Perry feat. Kanye West
Just to be clear, when the aliens attack, Katy Perry will become terrifying and Kanye West will look exactly the same. He’s totally their leader.
4. Real and True, Miley Cyrus with Future and Mr. Hudson
Thanks to Future, we can finally confirm that in the future, Miley Cyrus will be permanently covered in sparkles and you can smoke in space. Good to know.
5. Starships, Nicki Minaj
In Starships, Nicki Minaj is a space traveler who is beamed onto a planet where the bikini tops are so skimpy that one must hold their goods while dancing. Obviously, NASA should be looking into this.
