Ed Sheeran Set To Perform
He sold out Madison Square Gardens three nights in a row. He’s written for everyone from One Direction to Taylor Swift. His Gold certified debut album + spawned huge hits like Lego House and The A Team and with the upcoming release of his sophomore album, Ed Sheeran is set to make the MMVAs his destination for an incredible third year in a row!
Between writing for some of the biggest pop musicians in the world and contributing original songs to film soundtracks for The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug and The Fault In Our Stars, Sheeran has somehow managed to find the time to record his upcoming June 23rd sophomore album X. Working on the 12-song record with famed producers Pharrell and Rick Rubin, Sheeran has already released his lead single from the album, with Sing showing a move towards a more pop-dance sound for the singer/songwriter.
We can’t wait to see Ed Sheeran back at the MMVAs on Sunday, June 15, alongside newly announced performers Hedley and Ariana Grande, who join previously announced first-time performers Lorde and Imagine Dragons. Also just announced today, presenters Chloë Grace Moretz, Jena Malone, Kellan Lutz, and Tyler Posey will be on hand at the biggest awards show of the year, which is set to be co-hosted by Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
The big show goes down Sunday, June 15 at 9E/6P and you can watch it on Much, CTV and CTV GO. Check out the MMVA site to find out more about this year’s big show, including how to score wristbands.
