Ed Sheeran Named Most Buzzworthy International Artist Or Group

We’re in love with the sound of Ed Sheeran! The biggest male pop star in the world is now also the winner of this year’s Most Buzz Worthy International Artist or Group.

No stranger to the MMVAs, Sheeran first performed at the annual show in 2012, returning to perform again in 2013, 2014, and pulling double duty as host and performer in 2015. Tonight’s win marks Sheeran’s third MMVA, with the singer beating out musical heavyweights Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, and fellow performers Iggy Azalea and Lorde.

Sheeran is currently on tour in support of his 2017 album Divide, which features the huge lead singles “Shape of You” and “Castle On The Hill.” The British singer sent in a video to accept his latest MMVA, which marks the second time Sheeran has won Most Buzzworthy International Artist or Group (he previously won the award in 2015).

“I am in South America doing some shows,” said Sheeran in the video. “Thanks for letting me win the Most Buzzworthy International Artist Or Group. “It’s really cool! I really like the MMVAs, I really like Canada. Have a fantastic night and see you soon!”

The 2017 iHeartRadio MMVAs are hosted by Alessia Cara and Joe Jonas and feature performances from Camila Cabello, Lorde, Imagine Dragons, Julia Michaels, Post Malone, Jazz Cartier, Niall Horan, DNCE, and Arkells. Click here to watch now!
