Correspondents Dan and Alyssa wrap up their week Backstage at the MMVAs
Hey Everyone! Well, the time has come to say farewell and a big thank you to everyone that enjoyed the content Alyssa and I created. It’s crazy to think that the stage is literally half down already and it hasn’t even been a full 24 hours yet! Yesterday, I took the time to walk the line of people who slept overnight to get a good spot in the parking lot, and it was really great to see the amazing fan base of some of these artists.
This past week has been amazing, from making videos and writing blog posts to hanging out during sound check to seeing some of the world’s top artists in person. It’s always tough to figure out a word that fully represents the whole experience, but for now I will use INCREDIBLE! I hope YOU enjoyed the show as much as I did because A LOT of work has gone into preparing for a flawless production like this years MMVAs.
I’d like to thank everyone at MUCH and SUBWAY® Restaurants for having me back for another year and for giving so many cool stories to share with my friends and family when I get home. If you want to see more from me, stop by my YOUTUBE channel (www.Youtube.com/TheDanocracy) or any of my other social networks!
See you again,
Dan – @TheDanocracy
Hey everyone! It’s so weird when something that you have been waiting for, or something that has been so hyped up, eventually ends. These few days that I was at Much flew by and I wish they didn’t. However, this week has been awesome.
The amount of work that goes into this production amazes me. There are constantly people backstage running around with headsets on or moving things from one place to another and finishing everything that needs to be done. Dan and I always worked as a team and he was always there helping and mentoring me. We worked great together, whether it was working through how we were going to shoot each video, or even just making sure we both liked each others editing and blog posts…and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I had a blast interviewing people and making other videos since that is what I love to do.
Now the night of the actual show…I didn’t know what to expect because in previous years I have only watched it from home and in the parking lot audience. We also got to walk the red carpet! Even though no one knew who we were, it was still an awesome experience. We then got to watch the show from a room with lots of TV’s, and from the side corner of the parking lot, so it was definitely cooler seeing all the fireworks that way. The show itself was awesome. So many different camera angles, the stages looked unreal both in person, and on camera, and all the performers and presenters did great.
Now that it is all done, I want to thank MuchMusic and SUBWAY® Restaurants for making this week so exciting and awesome for me. Everyone that I met was friendly and made me feel welcome. I also want to thank Dan for mentoring me and I’m glad we worked so well together. Thank you to everyone who has watched and read all of our posts. I hope you all enjoyed them.
All the best,
Alyssa – @alyssatalb

Madonna kicked off the first of her back to back shows in Toronto last night at the Air Canada Center and effectively put the city on notice: the Queen of Pop has returned. The two-hour high energy Rebel Heart Tour was all things Madonna – groundbreaking, button pushing, and nonstop entertainment. The setlist covered many […]
The beginning of the end has officially arrived. Today has delivered the final trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 and it looks so. Bad. Ass. As with many film series, the final movie will be its darkest (Twilight, Harry Potter), which is saying a lot for a series that is based on children […]
We’re almost a full week into October, which means we’re are almost a full week into arguably the greatest month of the year. There’s a three day weekend that is centered around excessive eating. There’s pumpkin spice everything. There’s still hope for days that don’t involve a scarf and toque. There’s new shows on, like, […]
With the upcoming Federal Election less than two weeks away on October 19, it’s now more important than ever to stay up to date on political coverage. Keeping up with the top candidates and their platforms can feel overwhelming, but thankfully it’s 2015. There’s an app for that! Pollenize “aims to help users make confident […]
There are two things that we have learned to expect from every We Day celebration: inspiring stories and of inspiring celebs. This year’s Toronto We Day delivered on both fronts, with some of today’s youngest leaders taking the stage to share their stories of courage and perseverance to the 20,000 youth in attendance at the […]
