Camila Cabello, Shay Mitchell, Brandon Flynn And More Added To The iHeartRadio MMVAs!
Did you think we were done? Think again! Just announced—we’re adding more presenters and another huge performer to the 2017 iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – biggest party of the year.
Joining the performer line up is newly solo pop star Camila Cabello. This year will mark Cabello’s return to the iHeartRadio MMVAs, with the singer performing last year with her former band Fifth Harmony. Cabello found herself right at home during last year’s iHeartRadio MMVAs, returning to the stage multiple times to pick up awards for Best Pop Video and Fan Fave Video with Shawn Mendes for their collaboration “I Know What You Did Last Summer.”
Cabello stunned fans with the release of her first two solo singles earlier this month, including the emotionally raw “I Have Questions” and the dark pop track “Crying In The Club,” which samples Christina Aguilera’s “Genie In A Bottle.” The two songs act as the lead singles from Cabello’s upcoming debut album The Hurting, The Healing, The Loving, which she wrote with Charli XCX, Ed Sheeran, Sia and more.
Today’s announcement also includes a few more familiar faces returning to the iHeartRadio MMVAs as presenters. Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell will be heading home to Canada to rock the red carpet as usual and present at the iHeartRadio MMVAs.
Also returning are Vancouver rockers Hedley, who in the past have presented, performed and taken home more than a few awards over the years. With their first appearance taking place in 2006, it’s not the iHeartRadio MMVAs without Hedley!
Attending the show for the first time is actor Brandon Flynn, who scored a role as Justin Foley on this year’s breakout series 13 Reasons Why. The show, which is executive produced by past iHeartRadio MMVA host Selena Gomez, has already been renewed for a second season and you can bet we’ll be asking Flynn to share details on what’s to come for next season.
Star of screen, song, and scream, Keke Palmer will be making her way to 299 Queen Street West on Sunday, June 18! The Scream Queens star has been busy splitting her time between acting and music, releasing her latest single “Wind Up” featuring Quavo in April.
Turning the iHeartRadio MMVA red carpet into a catwalk will be first-time presenter Martha Hunt. The Victoria Secret model knows that fashion and music go hand in hand, with Hunt appearing in music videos for The Chainsmokers and alongside bestie Taylor Swift for “Bad Blood.”
Singer Bea Miller will also be making her iHeartRadio MMVA debut this year. Like performer Camila Cabello, Miller got her start on X Factor, landing a record deal and touring in 2016 with Selena Gomez and iHeartRadio MMVA performers DNCE. Miller has been releasing her latest EP in chapters, with the second chapter in her trilogy dropping on June 2.
Last but not least, Much Creators 4YallEntertainment will be repping their hometown of Brampton when they hit the stage as first-time presenters at the iHeartRadio MMVAs. Brothers Jae and Trey Richards have amassed a following of more than 929,000 subscribers on YouTube thanks to their weekly comedy videos. If you’re not following 4YallEnterainment, you should be. But don’t take our word for it. Take Drizzy’s.
Today’s new additions join previously announced performers Lorde, Imagine Dragons, Iggy Azalea, Niall Horan, Arkells, Post Malone, Julia Michaels, Jazz Cartier and DNCE, as well as presenters KJ Apa, Lilly Singh and Nikki Bella.
The 2017 iHeartRadio MMVAs will be hosted by Alessia Cara and Joe Jonas on Sunday, June 18 at 9E/6P.
