In its conclusion, this room is the pinnacle of comfort and mental bliss. A collision of serenity and design fused with the fun of Smarties. It's an intense sensation that only such an amazing box of chocolate treats could have on an artist's work; and I was given the honour. I extend heartfelt thanks for all involved in bringing my labour of love to life, returning Blue Smarties and allowing my work a chance to have such purpose again. (*especially my amazing assistant, whom without, I would not even be able to tie my shoelaces, he is in a word...awesome!)

To think, it all came about because of a wonderful tasty chocolate treat called Smarties! Guess the name makes sense then. This room is one hundred percent perfect. Only the top shelf of artistry and A-list rock stars get to experience it. But, so long as it's for the purpose of science and design, we guess you can too...
For a brief period, you will be allowed to view it; consider it a privilege.
Enjoy the Blue Room experience; it is a labour of love. A love born from design, and fuelled by the inspiration of Smarties.
IT'S GO TIME

Taking the concept into reality is where the genius emerges.
You see, everyone has an idea, everyone thinks their idea is great, and everyone then has no way to create that idea. The reason for this is, of course, because they're not as concise and clever like me, but also because their ideas are flawed, and therefore, will not work. This poses a problem to most. But not for us.
The Blue Room concept is perfect. Inspired by the return of the perfect new Blue Smarties, it will be fantastic in its design.
We enlisted a team of the most sought after carpenters, architects and interior decorators, to bring my creation to life. As I carefully watched over its creation, I was meticulous in ensuring that every detail was met, and no corners were cut. Having an abundance of Smarties to digest made the task that much more divine.
We were able to not only build the room to the perfect specifications, but even granted a battery of tests, which included some high-profile talent displaying their reactions to different stimuli, and of course, the affects the Blue Room has on them; all to much success I may add.
In the end, what we have is a dazzling array of colour, light, design, architecture and of course, comfort. You cannot find such a room, anywhere in the world. This I assure you.

CAUTION: WHAT'S THE PROBLEM

Identify the problem.
Having built artist rooms before, I have experienced the effects it can have. Using an array of different colours and designs, it seemed, some have even caused the artist to break, explode or completely melt down.
Let's just say, it has caused the breakup of many massive bands, caused starlets to crash into trees, some pop stars even shaved their heads...all because of sitting in the wrong room. Shame.
So, with intense calculations in mind, (Calculations are not able to be translated), incorporating the look and shape of everything in the room, the way your mind interprets every angle and every shape...I still lacked the ingredient, that would pave the way.
And then...it hit me.
My trusty assistant, all a fluff over something, accidently whipped his chocolate surprise in my direction. It must have been an accident, but alas destiny. (*next time don't forget my birthday...and I won't throw anything at you!)

As I sit there staring into the chocolate goodness of the Smarties, a calm settled over me. A calm induced by its pleasant round shape, and...that's it, its blue colour!
How did we not find it before? Like a tasty sky ready for a bite, the blue orb highlighted to me everything that had ever gone awry with the artist rooms before.
Their colour.
I wonder, should we call said pop divas and explain what happened, so they don't think they're crazy? (*missing text: no translation possible for German used).

GREAT EXPECTATIONS

In a world where people admire the Spork, running shoes are made for walking and espressos are mass-produced (the horror), I felt the need to create something beautiful and life affirming. Something, that not just spoke of design but had a purpose, and an artistic merit that could not be simply copied and regenerated like "the Slap-Chop". (*He gets a little too passionate about these things.)

As a master of design, yet always a student to the lessons it has taught me, I searched for a design purpose. No more museums, no more cathedrals, government buildings, public parks...I yearned for something with a lasting impact. I needed something which I could apply not only my design ideals, but also the principles of science and shape.
Then it came to me, the MMVA's. Rich in artistic history and integrity, the MMVA's would be the perfect time to create something such as this. In years passed, I have created and executed the different artist rooms for their performers; commonly known as 'green rooms'. All with varying results, but this year would be different; this year...it will have purpose. It will delight the artist(s), and inspire their best, and it will be...perfect.
I have an idea.

Hello world. Hello Canada. Hello music fans. My name is Franz Steigelfritz. I am one of the world's leading structural designers. I am ridiculously smart, and I implore methods and tactics culled from the cutting edge of science and logic. A lot of what I say will be over your head, and of course...in German (the most beautiful language in the world), so these notes are transcribed by my trusty assistant, known as Dexter Wise. He is very chic I have been told. (*as in my style is from this century).
