Backstage Correspondents Alyssa Talbot and Dan Rodo are busy getting the behind the scenes scoop on the MMVAs to bring to you! Today, Dan got to chat with MMVA Presenter SonReal, who scored an incredible FIVE nominations for Sunday’s big show, including Video of the Year. Check out Dan chatting with SonReal about his nominations, his tour, and just how he came up with his stage name.
Hello there! Dan here, coming from an alleyway in downtown Toronto!
I got the awesome opportunity to chat with Canada’s own up and coming rappers, SonReal. When I was told that I was going to interview a guest for this year’s MMVAs, I immediately jumped at the chance. I knew it would be an interview that would be very different from my experience last year.
So far, my time at the MMVAs is already very different from last year. The stage is MASSIVE and they have some awesome new equipment that I will be talking about later this week! I have been posting pictures from backstage that YOU can check out on my instagram (@Danocracy).
Keep checking back here for more behind the scenes stuff!

As July 23 marks five years since […]

Céline Dion hasn’t spent a lifetime performing to sold out crowds just to sit on a couch and do a few halfhearted impressions. The woman’s an *entertainer*. That’s why when Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon invited the Grammy winner to play Wheel of Musical Impressions, Dion agreed. And then she slayed. Dion did the usual […]

The JUNO Award […]
